In Somalia, the elections for the country\’s top leadership ended on May 15, 2022.
It is customary in Somali politics not to accept one person at a time, preferring to experiment with another person or group to gain life opportunities.
This election has left a mark on the political history of the re-election of a former leader, Mr. Hassan Sheikh becomes the tenth president of the Federal Republic of Somalia after becoming the eighth president.
What to Expect After the Election?
With the transfer taking place on Monday, May 23, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will officially take over the presidency.
In addition to the promises he made personally during his election campaign, he can also be predicted to have a great chance of leading the country out of its current state of uncertainty. ah.
Expectations for the new President could be to reshape the country\’s policy on regional and foreign affairs and to reinforce the achievements of the previous government, including the establishment of the armed forces and the increase in military salaries.
Social infrastructure still needs to be seriously enhanced by first and foremost access to free quality health, education, road construction and economic growth in the country.
Finally, to have a Constitutional Court that will reduce political infighting and lead the country to elections.
